Tofo Bardi
Lives & Works in Lagos, Nigeria
Tofo Bardi is a graduate of the University of Benin, specialising in painting. In her paintings, Bardi focuses on states of altered consciousness, rites of passage, and the representation of the intangible, blurring the boundaries between reality and the imaginary. Drawing from her own encounters with fear and grief, ghostly figures are prominent in her paintings, representing the intricate aspects of human psyche. These ethereal beings interact in a realm of their own creation. Bardi draws inspiration from the liminal space of the human mind and the innate fear of the unknown.

In 2023, Bardi participated in the group exhibition, Optics, at kó in Lagos, Nigeria.

Tofo Bardi will be presented by kó.
