Reggie Khumalo
Lives & Works in Zanzibar, Tanzania
Reggie Khumalo is a South African fine artist and motorcyclist who travels across the continent while promoting the values of Ubuntu. Khumalo’s art presents a contemporary vision of Africa which is informed by his extensive travels, which have enabled him to weave rich historical, religious and spiritual narratives into his works. Though renowned for his strong motifs and large-scale portraits, Khumalo’s style and method has shifted to include collages which utilise a myriad of bold fabrics which are often used to depict female figures and thriving greenery. Khumalo’s use of fabric is representative of his desire to work with physical mementos from his travels and document the people he meets along the way. The successes of his exhibitions across Africa, Europe and the US have helped financially support and grow his philanthropic work.

Reggie Khumalo will be presented by The African Art Hub (TAAH).
