Togo Yeye
Lives & Works in Lomé, Togo
Togo Yeye is a creative duo formed by visual artists Malaika Nabillah and Delali Ayivi. Based in Lomé, the artists seek to create work that empowers Togo’s youth and speaks to the power of collective imagination. They use fashion as a vessel through which to collaborate with the vibrant emerging local scene of creators. Togo Yeye’s work is informed by in depth research on the traditions, history, and contemporary culture of their country, and addresses the cultural dynamics of the many facets of Togolese identity. Their work has been shown in numerous exhibitions and fairs including, Roots of Imagination at Palais De Lomé, PhotoVogue Festival in 2021, 2022 and 2023, Goethe Institute of Vietnam in May 2023, 1-54 New-York in 2023, and  Le Mois de La Photo with The Museum Of Photography of St Louis, Senegal in June 2023. Togo Yeye will be presented by Galerie Gomis.
