Nabil Saouabi is a multidisciplinary artist exploiting a whole panoply of mediums, including painting, engraving, video, and installation. His artistic universe, which is inspired by the media and cinematographic or pictorial image, oscillates between politics and poetry with a spiritual dimension. Saouabi's characters are depicted in precarious situations and left to fend for themselves, or they are trapped and suspended in a liminal space. This universe of ambiguity and uncertainty reflects Saoubi’s existential concerns, his preoccupation with the juxtaposition between collective mythology and personal mythology. Saouabi has participated in numerous exhibitions in Tunisia, and in exhibitions and fairs abroad, including Dak'Art Beijing and the 6th International Biennial of Engraving in Île-de-France. Nabil Saouabi will be presented by Galerie La La Lande.
