Valérie Ohana
Lives & Works in Lives & works in Casablanca Morocco
Valérie Ohana (aka Visha) is a Spanish-Moroccan self-taught spiritual artist, yogi and poet. Working with acrylic/cellulose paints, organic pigments and both cotton and metal thread, Ohana explores themes of nature connection and healing vibrations. Her work reveals the unseen through nature, showing that separation is an illusion - we are all connected. She cites major influences as Christian Bobin, Rumi, Christiane Singer and Annick de Souzenelle, but the philosophy of yoga, power of therapy, spirit world power, feminine power and shamanism are subjects that give a profound meaning to her art. Exploring the microcosmos and macrocosmos, Ohana’s work reveals multiple healing shapes and vibrant colours coming from Nature or the invisible world that she connects with.  Ohana is an alumna of Dauphine university where she successfully earned a Master in finance and psycho-sociology. In 2022, Ohana presented a solo show at Myriem Himmich Gallery, Casablanca, entitled Ode à l'Un-Visible: Entre-Voir. Valérie Ohana will be presented by Myriem Himmich Gallery.
