Along with her interior design and architecture background, Aidan Marak’s work builds on her Moroccan heritage in order to break cultural boundaries. She deconstructs societal norms through subtle yet provocative works, highlighting women's pivotal role in her art. Often creating engaging interiors and thought-provoking scenographies with a powerful mix of words, brushstrokes, and imagery, her work transcends experiences and delves into pressing issues. Rooted in contemporary concerns, she passionately addresses the violation of free expression and prevailing obscurantism, particularly dedicated to rising African feminisms.
Marak's recent exhibition, Textures de l'âme, So Art Gallery, Casablanca (2023), echoes her intimate protests. Her impactful works, exhibited in Miami at The Power of Purpose (2022), Art is Never Canceled (2020), and Profanities and Love during Miami Art Week (2019), showcase her relentless pursuit of artistic investigation.
