MARC STRAUS
MARC STRAUS opened in 2011 in a 4-story building on Grand Street, New York. When the gallery opened, its primary interest was bringing new international voices to the public, including Jeffrey Gibson and Entang Wiharso. In addition to that continued mission, the programme now also focuses on late-career artists such as Hermann Nitsch, Marie Watt, Rona Pondick, and Sandro Chia, and emerging talents.

The gallery endeavours to advance their artist’s careers through sales to esteemed museums and collectors, reviews, public commissions, and museum shows. A significant number of the close to 100 exhibits, have been the subject of articles in leading outlets like The NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Artforum, Sculpture, Art in America, and many international newspapers and magazines. This is also alongside works acquired by over eighty international museums and a gallery programme that includes community outreach with a robust public programme platform.
