La La Lande Gallery
La La Lande Gallery was founded in 2018. After spending three years in the 14th arrondissement, it is now located on rue Quincampoix, only a few meters away from de Centre Pompidou in the heart of the Marais. The gallery represents artists from the MENA region, with poetic and political works from artists such as Aicha Snoussi, Slimen Elkamel or El Medhi Largo. Much of their art explores contemporary political and social themes in the region.
The gallery is thus part of a new wave in the art scene which aspires to deconstruct hegemonic narratives, bridge the gap between African artists and those from the Global North, making art more accessible. The gallery's artists question and dissect "dominant norms" through their work, redefining malleable and evolving identities, free from prejudice.
