M'hammed Kilito is an independent Moroccan photographer based in Rabat, Morocco. He is co-founder and photographer of KOZ collective and his work deals with issues related to cultural identity and the human condition in Morocco. Recently, Kilito was selected by the British Journal of Photography as one of the 18 best emerging photographers to watch. He has received numerous distinctions and awards - World Press Photo, Fondation des Treilles, CAP Award for Contemporary African Photography, and National Geographic Award, among others. Kilito is also a member of the African Photojournalism Database of World Press Photo (APJD) and contributes to Everyday Middle East and North Africa, a collection of images that provide a more accurate view of daily life in the MENA region beyond the mainstream media. His work has been presented in festivals and venues such as the Sharjah Art Foundation, Sharjah; the Tate Modern, London; the National Museum of Photography, Rabat; the Beirut Image Festival; Beirut; the Photo Vogue Festival, Milan; the Helsinki Photo Festival, Helsinki; and the Breda Photo Festival, Breda, among others. Kilito’s work has also been featured in publications widely, including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The British Journal of Photography, Vogue Italia, L'Express, VICE Arabia et El Pais.
Né en 1981 en Russie Vit et travaille à Rabat, Maroc M'hammed Kilito est un photographe marocain indépendant basé à Rabat, au Maroc. Il est représenté au niveau international par Native Agency et est co-fondateur du collectif KOZ. En tant que photographe documentaire, il aborde des questions relatives à l'identité culturelle, à la sociologie du travail et à la condition humaine. En 2020, Kilito a été sélectionné par le British Journal of Photography parmi les 18 meilleurs photographes émergents du monde entier à suivre, et a gagné de nombreux prix. Son travail a été présenté dans des festivals et des musées tels que la Sharjah Art Foundation, la Tate Modern, le Festival PhotoESPAÑA , le Addis Foto Fest, et le Photo Vogue Festival, entre autres.
