Focused on new and international ideas in contemporary art, Richard Taittinger Gallery presents an ambitious program dedicated to cultivating a critical dialogue between artists, viewers, and institutions. Founded in 2015 in the eccentric Lower East Side in New York City, the gallery provides a foundation of works by artists with significant global recognition. Richard Taittinger Gallery has always had a strong connection to African and African Diaspora Art, as well as the African Art scene. Exhibition highlights include: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? (2015), which showcased works by an exciting group of male and female African contemporary artists; two solo exhibitions of Frances Goodman, Rapaciously Yours (2016) and Beneath Her (2017); Ethics in a World of Strangers (2017), showcasing works by Eric van Hove; Broken Landscape (2016), solo exhibition of Afro- Cuban artist Jorge Mayet; and Colorful Line (2018), the highly successful solo exhibition of Pascale Marthine Tayou.
