Nuweland was founded in 2017 by owners and directors Anke and Wiebren Bergsma. The gallery specialises in art and design from Southern Africa and its diaspora. Nuweland represents a selection of local and international artists with a strong focus on talented emerging and established artists with an African background.

Nuweland provides a platform that offers artists the freedom to create important exhibitions. In addition to solo and group exhibitions, Nuweland also has a versatile collection of works of art consisting of paintings, ceramics and photography.
