Luce Gallery was founded in 2009 by Nikola Cernetic, aiming to find international young artists to support and promote through gallery exhibitions and by participating in fairs worldwide. The gallery focuses on the practice of painting, and more recently, is focusing on, but not exclusively, supporting African American artists. Since 2009, emerging artists who first started at the gallery have established themselves and practice, showing internationally in galleries and museums. The gallery’s dedication to their artist’s continuous professional development has been important to this growth and establishment. By holding a regular programme of exhibitions, publishing catalogues, showing at art fairs and working with major collectors the gallery has introduced a number of new artists to the contemporary art scene.
