Galerie 127 is dedicated to contemporary photography and is the first gallery of its kind in North Africa. For the past 14 years, galerie 127 has organised around 70 solos and group exhibitions, with works by artists inspired by their personal history, their quest for beauty and meaning. The gallery predominantly focuses on photography related to Morocco, the Arab world and Africa. Furthermore, the promotion of Moroccan photography on the international scene is one of its main objectives. Noticed for its singular approach, the gallery was selected to represent Morocco at Paris Photo 2009. The gallery also co-produced photo books and co-created Nuits Photographiques d’Essaouira and as a curator, Nathalie Locatelli, organised the exhibition Les Marocaines, La Maison de la Photographie de Lille, 2019.
