Ange Dakouo
Lives & Works in Bamako, Mali
Ange Dakouo works across painting, video, sculpture, and installation. His work centers on his Malian cultural heritage, in particular that of the Dozo hunters — custodians of age-old mystical knowledge. Made with meticulous care, Dakouo’s woven installations visually reference the Dozo hunter’s amulets which function as tools of protection.  Exhibited in Mali and internationally, his works have entered the collections of the Fondation H (Madagascar), the Société Ivoirienne de Banque (Côte d’Ivoire), and the Fondation Blachère (France and Senegal). Ange Dakouo will be presented by LouiSimone Guirandou Gallery.
