Co-founder of the Trovoa group, in 2018 Laís Amaral participated in the programme Any direction out of the center at the Escola de Artes Visuais d Parque Lage (EAV), and had her first solo exhibition Vazante at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói (MAC), Rio de Janeiro. She has also participated in group exhibitions such as Formation and Deformation at Parque Lage, Vesicle at Espaço BREU, São Paulo; Bela Verão (2018) and the exhibition Encruzilhadas at Galpão Bela Maré. Amaral joined the Trovoa Residency at the Hélio Oiticica Municipal Center from January to April 2019.
