Established in 1989, Galerie Mikael Andersen showcases Danish and international contemporary art. Between 2007 and 2014 the gallery expanded its focus to the German art scene, operating a space in Berlin. The gallery supports emerging talent and established artists, many of whom came to prominence in the 80’s and 90’s. The gallery manages the estate of Ernest Mancoba and Sonja Ferlov Mancoba, and has extended its focus to African art, working with artists including Moshekwa Langa and Mustafa Maluka. Galerie Mikael Andersen has curated exhibitions with institutions such as the ARoS Aarhus Art Kunstmuseum and the Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen.
