Through her research in painting, drawing, textile and ceramics, Rachel Marsil addresses notions of identity and representation. By questioning her own history, she plunges us into an intimate and colourful universe in which interior scenes, moments of reunion and subtle latency are mixed. A set of supple silhouettes, as if immersed in a contemplative wait, inhabits her paintings. Their peaceful gaze is turned towards us, their faces are hypnotic and their features, familiar from one character to another, remain unique.
