Aassmaa Akhannouch is an artist photographer. Her images are the result of an inner exploration, where she reveals the memories that have animated her childhood. In her series “La maison qui m’habite encore”, the photographer makes us relive the spirit of the place by replaying scenes, such as suspended moments, in a house where all that remains is an old and out of order television set, a phone that will not ring anymore, and a dress long forgotten in the closet…
Through the printing process Akhannouch mixes techniques and materials. In her laboratory, she goes from the negative to the cyanotype, which are then turned and enhanced with watercolours to highlight certain details of the image. In 2021, she won the 26th Prix HSBC pour la Photographie.
