Lives and works in Casablanca
Hassan Darsi’s work is influenced by his lived experience and his ever-changing surroundings. In 1995, he founded La Source du Lion, a Casablanca-based platform with an emphasis on participative approaches and multicultural exchanges. His Hermitage Park project, dedicated to environmental awareness and, more specifically, to the rehabilitation of the 17-hectare Hermitage Park in Casablanca, marked the beginning of a series of interventions and projects engaged with questions about the city, architecture and public spaces. Darsi has participated in exhibitions in Senegal, South Africa, Lebanon, Spain, France, Germany and the United States. His pieces are on view in public and private collections in Morocco and abroad: Projet de la Maquette was acquired by the Centre Pompidou, Paris, and Square d’En Bas is currently exhibited at MuCem Museum, Marseille.
