
Tyburn Gallery is dedicated to international contemporary art, exhibiting and championing established artists and younger talents from a global range of evolving art scenes, with Africa and its diaspora as a point of departure. The gallery has shown a range of exhibitions by artists such as Taiye Idahor, Wallen Mapondera, Admire Kamudzengerere, Mónica de Miranda, Mouna Karray, Victor Ehikhamenor, Lady Skollie, Michele Mathison, Moffat Takadiwa and Kudzanai-Violet Hwami. Tyburn Gallery works to support its artists through curatorial projects, publications and participation in international art fairs. Gallery artists have been included in important exhibitions at the Tate Modern, London; The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and MoCADA, New York; Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, Washington D.C.; Kunstraum, Innsbruck; Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt; the 56th and 57th Venice Biennale (2015 and 2017); Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), Cape Town and the National Gallery of Zimbabwe.
