Established in Brussels and Paris, Huberty & Breyne Gallery is, with over 25 years of experience, one of the first and most prominent galleries in the comic art market. Its aim has always been to bring attention to and provide support for the creative achievements of artists in the field, protecting their autonomy and specificity and overall demonstrating the relevance of comic art in the development of contemporary artistic language. Founders Alain Huberty and Marc Breyne believe in regular collaboration and crossover dialogues between artists from the comic and contemporary art backgrounds, resulting in publications, exhibitions and special projects. Since 2017, the gallery works with South African artists Conrad Botes and Anton Kannemeyer, two authors that exemplify a successful transition from underground comic to the contemporary scene and back.
