In a moment when the art world had almost come to a standstill, prioritising digital viewing rooms and virtual exhibitions, Galleria Anna Marra (Rome), Montoro12 Gallery (Rome-Brussels) and Gallery Nosco (UK-France) decided to join forces and open a new joint curatorial venue in Brussels called Bubble’n’Squeak. The idea was to manage a curatorial space that would bring together the most innovative research in contemporary art from all over the world, enhancing and expanding the focus of all three galleries, who were already involved in promoting not only European, but also African American, Middle Eastern and Latin American Art respectively.
The intention of opening a new physical space after a year of mostly virtual art consumption was to restore the collector’s physical relationship with artwork. The space has already been much appreciated by art collectors and the public alike.
