AlAmir produces abstract work that is multilayered. Each series she has produced is unique both in terms of themes and aesthetics, showing her great ability to continuously evolve and develop her work. Her first solo show at Ubuntu in 2015 presented detailed abstract paintings of frenetic brushstrokes and intense colours of neon oranges, pinks and yellows that densely covered her canvases. AlAmir managed to employ considerable detail and so much play with colour and lines and shapes, onto a relatively small space. The feeling of intensity, of forcing the viewer to look closely to decipher each brushstroke is oftentimes repeated in her other work.
She has exhibited her works in multiple group and solo exhibitions both regionally and internationally including the Sapporo International Art Festival, Sapporo (1995) and art festivals in Senegal, Yemen, Morocco and France.
