Omar Gabr
Lives & Works in Cairo, Egypt
Omar Gabr is a self-taught artist who experiments with different techniques and materials. He has a diploma of Secondary Commerce and in 2016 he joined the art collective “Al Laqta,” Arabic for “The Shot”, at which time he adopted a more academic and formal approach to the creation of art. Gabr’s work has been showcased in numerous group exhibitions, including the ‘Youth Salon’ in 2016 and 2018, ‘Cairo Salon’ in 2018, ‘Different Melodies’ in 2019, ‘Ubuntu Revisited V’ in 2021 at Ubuntu Art Gallery, and ‘Docendo Discimus – The showcase’ in 2021 at Walk of Cairo. He has had two solo exhibitions, ‘The Phase’ in 2018 at Easel & Camera gallery and “ABI Park” in 2021 at UBUNTU Art Gallery. Gabr has also participated in international fairs, notably 1-54 Marrakech in 2020 and 1-54 London in 2020. He has holdings in private collections in the UK, USA, UAE, Egypt and Morocco. Omar Gabr will be presented by UBUNTU Art Gallery.
