Kuku, Ola-Dele
Born 1963 in Lagos, Nigeria
Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium
Ola-Dele Kuku founded his private practice in Milan, 1990, dedicated to conceptual interventions in architecture with a special focus on philosophy, theory and composition. Kuku has since worked on several projects that have been awarded prizes such as the Grand Prize, the IFI Nagoya International Design Competition, Nagoya; License of Honour, Tech-Art Prize Award – Vlaamse Ingenieurs kamer, Antwerp; Henry Van De Velde Prize – Prize of the Public Award – VIZO at the Design Museum, Ghent, Belgium and Mention Special pour la Créativité at Dark’Art—Biennale de l’Art Contemporain Africain. His work has also been presented at numerous international exhibitions in institutions such as the Politecnico di Milano; Nagoya Center, Nagoya; Lineart, Ghent; Design Museum Gent; Centre d’Art Contemporain Brussels; Röhsska Museum, Gothenburg, Sweden; Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, France; International Biennial Design Festival, Sainte-Etienne, France; Narodni Technické Muzeum, Czech Republic; Teatro dal Verme, Milan; Middelheim Museum Antwerp; Porsche Haus, Milan; Musée d’Ixelles, Brussels and the Gent Design Museum, Gent.
