Joël Andrianomearisoa
Lives & Works in Paris, France and Antananarivo, Madagascar
Joël Andrianomearisoa explores many disciplines, from fashion to design, video to photography, scenography to architecture, and installations to visual arts. This varied approach likely influences his polyphonic work which infiltrates every part of his audiences’ sensitive space.
Andrianomearisoa’s work encompasses different mediums and materials, seeking to give form to non-explicit, often abstract, narrations. His mixed-media approach is also informed by his Madagascan roots, itself a country of diverse cultural influences.  “It is neither a painting, a sculpture nor an architectural assemblage... it is an installation that has different elements that refer to architecture, painting and sculpture but also to love, desire, loss, despair, hope.” - J.Andrianomearisoa  Andrianomearisoa’s work has been shown in many international institutions and events such as the Biennale di Venezia, 2019, Plais de Tokyo, Paris in 2021, the Zeitz Mocaa, Cape Town in 2022, the Macaal, Marrkech in 2022,  Contemporary Art Museum, Tokyo in 2023, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, among others. Joël Andrianomearisoa will be presented by Primo Marella Gallery.
