Virgina Ryan works in Italy and Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. Her work spans painting, collage, photography, sculpture and installation and often concerns subjects of migration, displacement, memory, loss and transformation. She works regularly in collaboration with artists, communities, anthropologists and musicians.
Fluid Tales at Fondazione Museo Pino Pascali Puglia runs until 8 June 2014. ‘Espace à louer / Selling Dreams’ is displayed at Cécile Fakhoury Gallery in Abidjan until 21 June 2014.
